Briton Lee Brown died at Bur Dubai Police Station

It has been alleged by witnesses that Lee Brown was beaten to death by authorities, some of which were thought to be from the Central Intelligence Department, due to their differing uniforms.

Dubai authorities and autopsy report claimed that Lee Brown choked on his own vomit and this was the cause of death.  However, the UK Coroner’s Court has opened an inquest.  We hope that their request for CCTV footage is agreed and await the results.

Since Lee’s death, countless more detainees and ex-detainees have come forward with their disturbing stories of police violence while in custody.
